In an exclusive interview for Sloan BRAMWELL, which also launched the DLT-IBM confirmed the predictions of many experts regarding the fact that full automation of vehicles will be completed by 2040. While expressing a view which was also expressed by KERR regarding the fact that some countries hamper the development of technology deliberately: “We are already seeing a trend of automation, but many of the leaders of the Old world benefit from its absence. As the replacement of world leaders we will see the growth of automation. There are already fully automated marine terminals, but we are still far from creating infrastructure that will be required for automation roads, rail and air transport”.

Craig FULLER believes that the improvement and automation of transport infrastructure in the coming decades will inevitably accelerate the development of the economy as a whole. The expert also added that these changes can have a negative impact on some sectors of the economy that will lose the status quo or simply disappear.

In this case what comes first: the technology will be to lead, or the market will set the demand for the new technology? Automation companies will give a new direction for economic development? Here experts are considering opportunities on both sides.

KERR argues that the development of technology will be stipulated by the needs of the market, the state policy and regulation. He adds that the future economy will reward efforts with positive effects on the human condition and the environment. “Automated transport will be much more effective than modern systems managed by man. It will reduce the amount of waste and maximize resources” — sums up the expert.

Sloan BRAMWELL believes that this process of interaction between technology development and economic growth are interdependent. According to him, the automation will lead to reduction of logistics costs, which will positively affect the entire trade in General, and access to consumer goods. The expert suggests that the autonomy of transport is likely to lead to a new industrial revolution.
